Mobile Projection Project

This project uses the processes of projection to mediate the human experience within an urban setting, and explore themes of alienation, disembodiment, disenfranchisement, and solitude. It is a meta exploration of the physical conditions of the urban environment--its spatialism, atmospherics, optics, as well as textural and geometrical surface elements. As a dialectic with the conventions of street art, it subverts the conditions of permanence, access, and il/legality within that tradition, to posit a new modality with irreverence, and a glib eye toward marketing and the semiotics of expression, intention, and navigation in the urban landscape.
